There is lots of information on a wide range of subjects available to students; outlets include the university itself, the internet, books and magazines. The student union is the hub of university life and representatives will be able to assist you with almost any questions you may have; these may include questions that range from where to get the best coffee to how to renew library books for example.

The internet has a large number of useful resources for students from health tips and how to save money to which bars and restaurants to visit. There are also a large number of student forums online where you can chat to other students about a variety of different subjects. Several websites also advertise student jobs and accommodation.

There are several guides to student life available, these may provide information on specific universities or just general information on what to expect at university and how to make the most of your student days. The Times ‘Good University Guide’ also provides a detailed outline of university life at different institutions and offers information on different courses and cities.
